I'm In Love With Montmartre
Let's blame Audrey Hepburn for a minute here and her off key singing as she skips across the city of Paris in Funny Face "one of my favourite classics"...the seine, jardin tuiliries, luxembourg, and then there's Montmarte.
There are many beautiful places in Paris "a.k.a the love of my life", but one of my ultimate favourite spots is beautiful Montmartre. As it sits at the top of Paris with it's beautiful stairs "the only place i've climbed stairs btw", I fell more in love with it this time around than I did last summer. Giving you the best view of Paris and all it's attractions, including the little village itself; Montmartre to me is a definition of home, because it actually reminds me of home. Almost quiet, slow streets "except on days filled with tourists of course", to me
It's the Heart of Paris.
I can still taste the smell of hot crepes from the stalls lining the streets, and the oos and ahhs of pedestrians who almost instantly know how to blend into the almost silence apon arrival & take it all in. And as I love admiring the gorgeously intricate architecture of Paris, strolling the coblestone streets of Montmartre makes this past-time perfect; and enjoying a crepe au nutella & vin chaud from place des abessess and one of the small resto's in the vicinity makes a perfect combination.
My ultimate favourite thing.... enjoying the sunset over Paris from it's stairs.
Alors,The parisian dream remains alive!!
